"I recommend this one 100% because it feels like true family. It’s not too big, and so it was just the amount of people. It was intimate, it was a beautiful setting. We were soaking in useful knowledge every single day, every single minute, so it really felt so worth my time and energy, and it just started this beautiful segway into my life of diving deeper into the beautiful practice of yoga. Brianna and Mimi did such a good job with using our time wisely, and really offering so much depth and value."
"I couldn’t have asked for a better training experience. The curriculum was so holistic — giving me a strong grounding in the philosophy of yoga, an understanding of human anatomy so that I can teach my students from a more informed (and safe!) place, and even information on holistic business fundamentals so that I felt confident moving forward and building my career post-training. I learned so much about meditation, and about myself through meditation. I felt completely free to process at my own pace and in my own way, and it was clear that the program had been intentionally designed to honor and speak to all kinds of learning styles. I find myself now, months out of training, continuing to reference the material as I build my offerings and craft my classes. Mimi + Brianna compliment one another so well in the way they teach, the material they teach, and the overall energy they bring to the full experience of this training. I am so grateful. Thank you thank you thank you."

The 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training offers an advanced yoga training curriculum designed for the experienced yoga instructor who is intentional about developing their yogic skills to the next level. This residential intensive course provides specialized tools for personal transformation and professional growth.
A 300-hour advanced training is designed to build upon and deepen the trainee’s understanding of the fundamental concepts of the practice and teaching of yoga that are taught during the 200-hour course. This prepares trainees to teach advanced principles and techniques of yoga in more (and subtler) detail. Which enables you to teach with greater skill and precision than could reasonably be expected of a 200-hour trained teacher.
The curriculum is designed to deliver this training during 300 hours of experiential practice, written assignments, presentations, excursions and discourse.
You also cultivate enhanced business essentials for developing your brand, messaging, and marketing your offerings.
"RYT 300" is an acronym that stands for Registered Yoga Teacher 300-Hour. "300-Hour" means you have studied and accumulated 300 hours of information and study time. It is our intention that the yoga aspirant augments their awareness of the principles which form the foundation of yoga: such as the moral and ethical codes, discipline, mindfulness, inner awareness, all qualities which promote a well-rounded human being and productive contributor to society.
No. Students must provide evidence of having attained a 200-hour level training in the form of a teacher training certificate. Yoga is more than just exercise and being physically fit. It is a way of life. Swadhyaya is the fourth Niyama (self-disciplines) of Patanjali's Yog Sutras (Ashtanga Yoga) and means "self-study" or "self-inquiry." It is this mindset we hope to cultivate and observe in our students.
Endeavoring to earn a 300-hour yoga teacher training certificate comes with a responsibility to demonstrate ethical, moral precepts as a role model to future students/teachers, as well as a continual commitment to self-study.

Swadhyaya Yoga School advances expression, education, and awareness of Hatha, Ashtanga, and Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. While the focus will be on these practices, we will also introduce you to Restorative, Yin, and Iyengar yoga, with additional learning about modifications for children and elderly populations.
Hatha yoga is a branch of yoga derived from one of the six schools of Hinduism. It is the science of yoga which purifies the whole physical body by means of shatkarma (six cleansing practices), asana (postures), pranayama (breathing practices), mudra (seals), bandha (locks) and concentration, as a prelude to raja (Kingly) yoga and samadhi (higher state of awareness commonly referred to as “bliss”). All of which are explored during your teacher training program.
Ashtanga Yoga is understood by the yogic scholar as the eight-limbs of Sage Patanjali: yama (moral code), niyama (self-restraints), asana (posture), pranayama (breathing practices), pratyahara (sense withdrawal), dharana (concentration), dhyana (meditation), samadhi (bliss). Ashtanga Yoga is often confused with the popularized vinyāsa style of yoga developed by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in 1948. Both the origin and sequences developed by Jois, as well as Patanjali’s teachings, will be explored during this yoga teacher training course.

We recommend participants purchase travel insurance when making travel plans; and, although health insurance is not a requirement for entry into Panama, it is highly recommended.
Since each country offers different travel insurance plans, we suggest a policy that has both COVID-19 AND trip cancellation language, such as “cancel for any reason.” Terminology such as this will protect against the rare chance of cancellation.
For US-based travelers, reasonably priced travel insurance that complies with Panama regulations can be found with Trawick Travel Insurance. We encourage you to shop around.
Panama is constantly changing their travel regulations. By the time our course begins in January 2022, it is very likely protocols to enter the country will become less stringent.
Panama is currently open to international travelers from all countries. In keeping with maintaining the safety and health of both tourists and locals, however, a negative COVID-19 test is required for entry for non-vaccinated travelers.
Non-vaccinated travelers arriving from or that have transited through High-Risk countries in the last 15 days will be required to quarantine for 72 hours in a hotel — the traveler is responsible for 100% of the cost of the stay.
Travelers arriving from High-Risk countries who can present a complete vaccination scheme, equal to or greater than 14 days after the last dose, will be exempt from the 72-hour quarantine.
Click the Entry Requirements link to learn more about travel to Panama, including the High-Risk countries list.
Bocas Town, Isla Colon, the location of Bird Island Bungalows, currently has no restrictions because there are almost no cases of COVID-19. Bocas Town is a secluded beach town with a very relaxed and easy-going quality of life. In taxis and public transportation, masks are to be worn.
